Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign
Brookville, PA (August 26, 2014) – Today, Brookville Glove, a manufacturer and distributor of safety products and American Made Gloves, announced their Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign that will be running until the end of October 2014 to contribute to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Brookville Glove will be manufacturing and selling American Made Pink Gloves and adding the pink ribbon logo to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Furthermore, 20% of sales made from this product will be donated to the Hahne Regional Cancer Center in DuBois, Pennsylvania. To expand the campaign, Brookville Glove and their employees will be participating in the Days of Hope Cancer Walk held by the DuBois YMCA and Gourmet Kitchen on Saturday, September 20, 2014.
In recent preparation the CEO, Brian Dougherty says, “We are extremely excited about this new venture to raise awareness in our area. We wanted to partake and brainstorm innovative ways on how Brookville Glove could contribute to National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.”
To gain this momentous awareness, Brookville Glove planned and executed the following tactics:
- We’ve decided to manufacture our own American Made Pink Glove and will be stamping the Pink Ribbon to promote Breast Cancer Awareness Month. By achieving this, we purchased pink cotton, pink yarn and pink ink. This endeavor will be the first in the history at Brookville Glove.
- To bring attention to the glove, we added a twist to our established brand of 131 years, Burly Bear, by naming the Pink Ribbon Glove “Gurly Bear” specifically for this campaign.
- In order to contribute in an immense way, we are selling the Pink Gloves Nationwide and donating 20% of sales from this product to the Hahne Regional Cancer Center in DuBois, Pennsylvania. We wanted to keep the donation local.
- The gloves can be purchased by calling Brookville Glove at 814.849.7324
- We decided to start manufacturing and selling the gloves before National Breast Cancer Awareness Month in order to promote the campaign and gain more response to succeed our goal by the end of October.
- We contacted our current customers, friends and family to make them aware of what we are implementing and our achievement goals.
- To show our support even more, we will be participating in the local Days of Hope Cancer Walk held by the DuBois YMCA and Gourmet Kitchen on Saturday, September 20, 2014.
