Donation to Hahne Regional Cancer Center from Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign

Gurly Bear Glove Proceeds

DuBois, PA (November 11, 2014) – Today, Brookville Glove made a donation to the Hahne Regional Cancer Center located in DuBois, Pennsylvania. The donation came from a three month long Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign in response to the Pink Work Glove, Gurly Bear that was created.

The company wanted a way to contribute and give back to the community. In effort, Brookville Glove created a pink work glove with the pink ribbon logo that their customers and the general public could use and wear every day for the month of October in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In addition to the gloves, Brookville Glove also participated in a Cancer Walk, The Days of Hope Cancer Walk, held in DuBois, Pennsylvania.

Throughout the course of the campaign, Brookville Glove had 8 companies, who are their current customers, purchase dozens of gloves for their employees to wear for the entire month of October to show their support. In addition to those companies the gloves were sold to the general public and other companies in surrounding areas.

By the end of October there was over 80 dozen of the Gurly Bear Gloves sold. From the campaign and sales, the Hahne Regional Cancer Center in DuBois received a total donation of $1,019.07 from Brookville Glove.

Brookville Glove is extremely thrilled how the campaign transformed and is looking forward to continuing the campaign in years to come. Just another step towards finding a cure!
