Message from the Chief Executive Officer

In preparation, as the colder months approach, Brookville Glove is preparing their most popular winter chore gloves to be readily available so customers can have their orders filled with no downtime when ordering. We keep their business needs in mind while preparing for these colder months to come.

In other news, we are proud to announce that our Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign was a huge success. Due to the high volume and great outcome from this campaign, we are looking to continue the campaign in years to come.

With sales strictly from the Gurly Bear, we were able to donate $1,019.07 to the Hahne Regional Cancer Center in Dubois, Pennsylvania. It’s such a rewarding feeling that we, as a company, can give back to the community we live in and know that our donation is going to a great cancer center and a great cause to help out all patients. Further on in this newsletter, you will find more details throughout the entire campaign.

 A Step Towards Finding a Cure

Over the last three months, Brookville Glove hosted a Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign.

The company wanted a way to contribute and give back to the community. In effort, we created a pink work glove with the pink ribbon logo that our customers and the general public could use and wear everyday for the month of October in honor of National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. In addition to the gloves, Brookville Glove also participated in a Cancer Walk in DuBois, PA.

Throughout the course of the campaign, we had 10 companies purchase dozens of gloves for their employees to wear for the entire month of October to show their support. In addition to those companies we sold to a variety of audiences.

By the end of October, we sold over 80 dozen of the Gurly Bear Gloves. From the campaign and sales, the Hahne Regional Cancer Center in DuBois received a total donation of $1,019.07 from Brookville Glove.

We are extremely thrilled how the campaign transformed and we are looking forward to continuing the campaign in years to come.

Learn About Our Silver Fleece

The Silver Fleece is made in the USA out of quilted American made 22 oz. 100% white cotton material. It is a long palm design with various styles of cuffs. This glove can be used for anything dealing with heavy duty work such as, welding, construction, farming, etc.

Pictured are two different styles of the Silver Fleece. The 958 has an overcast safety cuff and the 58 has an overcast safety and gauntlet cuff.

Our featured product this month is our American Made Brand, Green Briar.

The Green Briar glove is a chore glove made in the USA out of American made 18 oz. 100% cotton green fleece fabric with a knit wrist cuff. This glove is loved with our construction, farming, and logging customers.

National Boss’s Day

On October 16, 2014 Utilities and Industries and Brookville Glove celebrated National Boss’s Day to honor the Chief Executive Officer, Brian Dougherty.

During National Boss’s Day both companies put together a lunch for the CEO to show their appreciation.

In addition to the lunch, the employees surprised Brain with a Caricature Drawing of himself along with well messages on the frame holding the drawing. By his reaction, we think he definitely loved the gift!

All in all, the CEO had a wonderful Boss’s Day!
